Importing Contacts

Powered Now can import your contacts, either one by one or in bulk, from your devices address book.

Powered Now Pro Plan customers can take advantage of a free customer upload facility. Simply download the following template, add your contacts and send to the support team (support@powerednow.com).

Contact Import Template - CSV File

To manually import contacts:

  • Step 1: Open the customers section in Powered Now.

  • Step 2: Press the green 'Import Customers' button, this will load your complete contact list.

  • Step 3: Press the blue 'Select All' button, or select contacts individually.

  • Step 4: Press the 'Import' Button, please note this process can take a long time depending on the number of contacts you have in your address book.

How to get your contacts onto your device

Sometimes you may not have your contacts on your device, this is normally the case if you are coming to Powered Now from a different system. If you can export your contacts into a CSV or vCard this can then be imported onto your device.

The fastest and easiest way to do this is via your email provider, many services allow you to sync your contacts, here are a few examples:

  • iCloud:
    1. From a Mac make sure you have iCloud contacts enabled, go to system preferences > iCloud and ensure contacts are turned on.
    2. Then open the contacts application on your mac then choose File > Import, select the CSV or vCard file you would like to import.
    3. On your device make sure you have iCloud contacts enabled, for example on an iPhone or iPad visit settings > iCloud and make sure contacts are turned on.
     
  • Google:
    1. Sign in to Gmail.
    2. At the top-left corner, click Gmail > Contacts.
    3. Above the contacts list, click More > Import....
    4. Click Choose File.
    5. Select the file you'd like to upload.
    6. On your device make sure you have Gmail contacts enabled, for example on an iPhone or iPad visit settings > mail, contacts and calandar and make sure contacts are turned on.

  • Outlook or Hotmail:
    1. Sign in to Outlook or Hotmail.
    2. Choose People
    3. Under Add people to your contact list, choose Start import.
    4. Choose Other > Browse to upload your .csv file.
    5. On your device make sure you have Gmail contacts enabled, for example on an iPhone or iPad visit settings > mail, contacts and calandar and make sure contacts are turned on.

  • Alternatively you can use iTunes to copy your contacts to your iPhone or iPad:
    1. Connect your iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes. Select your iPhone.
    2. Click the Info section and scroll down to the bottom of the screen to the Advanced section. Select the service or app you want to sync contacts from.
    3. Click the Apply button to begin syncing.
